I made these for my dad for Christmas. He loves his books and he vowed that he would specify in his will that we would be disowned if we ever dismantled his extensive library. A very serious threat! So I tried to keep on his good side with these book plates. The decorative frame images were actually scanned from a book that I gave him for Christmas. I deemed it his best Christmas present ever.
With this pdf, you can make your own bookplates or a really nice gift for a friend. Select a high quality text weight paper and print as many copies as you would like. Then cut out the frames with a ruler and an exacto knife. Use an acid-free adhesive to afix the bookplates in your favorite books. Books will never be abandoned again.
